Masahiro Takedagawa is President & CEO, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd. and Head - South West Asia, Honda Motor Co., Ltd.

He has been associated with Honda Motor Co. for over 25 years. He started his professional career with the company in the year 1979 as a trainee at the company’s Sayama factory. In 1980 he was appointed as the Area Manager for the company’s car retail operations, a position he held for the next four years.

M. Takedagawa has vast experience in the automobile industry, having worked with Honda ventures in different markets, across the globe. Apart from highly developed markets like US and Europe, he also has significant experience in developing countries in the Asia and Oceania region. He was the General Manager, Global Product Planning Division before he took over as the President & CEO of Honda Siel Cars India in April 2005. In the last few years, the company has strengthened its leadership position in the premium segment under his supervision.

Within a year of his appointment as the head of Honda’s car operations in India, he was assigned charge as the head of Honda’s overall operations in the entire South West Asia region. In his new capacity, M. Takedagawa aims to achieve increased focus and synergy among the different Honda entities in the region. He has been instrumental in bringing latest global product technologies, like hybrid, to India.

Born in Tokyo, Japan in the year 1955, M. Takedagawa is a Bachelor of Economics from the Rikkyo University, Japan.
